Effective date: 6 October 2026
Lotstamp is a mobile app for Android (and iOS where offered), published by Delix Pty Ltd, New South Wales, Australia ("Delix", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it's used, who it's shared with, how long it's kept, and how you can control or delete it.
Privacy contact: info@delix.com.au
The app asks for permissions only when a feature needs them. You can allow or refuse each one, and change your mind at any time (see "Your choices and permissions" below).
| Permission or data | Why the app uses it |
|---|---|
| Camera | To take site photos and videos. |
| Microphone | To record sound with videos. It's only used while you're recording a video. |
| Location (precise or approximate) | To stamp the GPS coordinates, altitude, accuracy and street address on photos and videos, and to show the live stamp in the camera. Location is only used while the app is open on screen. The app doesn't use location in the background. |
| Compass / motion sensors | To show the compass direction on the stamp, where your phone supports it. |
| Photos you pick | When you choose "Add from gallery" or upload a logo, the system photo picker gives the app only the photos you select (Android's photo picker, or the iOS photo picker where offered). The app can read the date and GPS details stored in those photos to fill in the stamp. |
| Storage / files | To save stamped photos, videos and PDF reports to locations on your phone (for example Pictures/Lotstamp, Movies/Lotstamp and Documents/Lotstamp on Android). |
| Internet | Only for the street-address lookup and the report map images described below. |
All of the following is created and stored only on your device, inside the app's private storage or in the locations you save to:
Delix has no access to any of this information.
When Settings → Street address is set to OpenStreetMap or Phone and the app has a location fix, the app sends the latitude and longitude to:
Like any internet request, this also passes on your phone's IP address and basic technical details (such as the app or browser version and the time of the request). The services send back an address, which the app stores on your phone. No photos, names, project details or other content are sent. BigDataCloud says it uses the coordinates together with the IP address, anonymously, to improve the accuracy of its IP-location data. These organisations handle the data under their own privacy policies and may process it outside Australia.
To stop this, set Settings → Street address to Off (you can type the address yourself), or don't give the app location permission. Everything else in the app keeps working.
When you export a PDF report with Site map switched on, the app downloads map images ("tiles") from OpenStreetMap's tile servers, run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (https://osmfoundation.org/wiki/Privacy_Policy), for the area covering the photos in the report. Because the app asks for the tiles for that area, the request shows roughly where your photos were taken, along with your phone's IP address and basic technical details (such as the app version and the time of the request). No photos, names, project details or other content are sent. The map is drawn on your phone and embedded in the PDF.
To stop this, switch off Site map in the export options. The app can also draw a simple offline plot without downloading anything.
Remember that stamped photos and videos show location, date and time in the image itself, so anyone you share them with can see that information.
Device backups (Android backup, or iCloud/device backup on iOS) may include the app's data (for example settings and saved items) according to your device settings, under the backup provider's terms (Google or Apple). Delix can't access these backups. You can manage or switch off backups in your device's settings.
Lotstamp is free to use, with optional Lotstamp Pro subscriptions sold through Google Play. If you subscribe, Google handles the payment and your purchase history under the Google Play terms and Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). Delix doesn't receive your payment details and runs no server for subscriptions: the app asks Google Play on your phone whether your subscription is active and keeps a small note of the result on your phone so Pro keeps working offline. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Google Play.
Address lookups and map downloads use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Your content is protected by your device operating system's app sandbox (Android or iOS) and your phone's own security (screen lock, encryption). Files saved outside the app can be seen by other apps you've given photo or file access to. Please keep your phone secure.
The app is a work tool for adults in construction and the trades. It isn't directed at children under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Because Delix doesn't hold personal information collected through the app, there's normally nothing for us to give you access to or correct. If you have a question or complaint about privacy, contact us at info@delix.com.au. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (https://www.oaic.gov.au).
If the app's data practices change (for example a new feature or service), we'll update this policy and the effective date, and where appropriate tell you in the app or on the app store listing (Google Play or the App Store).
